Welcome to the July 2009 issue of WOX (World of XOOPS) Newsletter (see here previous versions)

As always, as the first thing in each newsletter we wanted to express our gratitude to all of you who have donated money to XOOPS Foundation! We truly appreciate your trust and support!

This month was especially busy for Wishcraft who again created couple of new modules: Genobio 0.13 (Alpha) and Lawsuit 1.05 (Beta), and updated several of his older modules: Spiders 1.06, X-Reaggregator 2.20. Also very busy were sinnedesign and Algalochkin releasing several new Themes. Thank you all!!!!

And we finally have some tangible designs for the new XOOPS Website Theme, and meaningful discussions.

The work is also going on the next release of XOOPS: 2.3.4. Trabis and Wishcraft have been very hard at work, and we should expect the first Beta release sometime next week.

Highlights of the last month:

XOOPS Innovation Award - for people who create something very unique and innovative for XOOPS. This time the award goes to Ruoyu SUN (insraq) from China for his innovative work on XOOPS China Website.
XOOPSer of the Month Award: is given to XOOPS members who show extraordinary dedication to XOOPS, and go the extra mile for XOOPS. This month, we would like to recognize Michael Albertsen (culex) for his support on our Forums.

other sources, it includes a .htaccess SEO as well as an RSS Cache and RSS Snooping by Setting in your preferences. With a new

RSS Mashables options, X-Reaggregator 2.21 offers the best in RSS Management and Snooping.

This for example is useful with your X-Torrent Installation as you can add other X-Torrent RSS Feeds to it and allow your users

to with the RSS Torrent acquire Aggregate torrents from many sources with the Feed Snooping your limited supply from other

sources.

Or any other form of RDF or RSS Feeds, it will also parse into the core of the system for dynamic feed maintenance and

collaboration methods with the multisite module.

Lawsuit 1.06 (RC)

Lawsuit is an module for XOOPS that allows for categories and pages to be create with associated forms. The forms are completely customisable and offer a method of display data in pertinence to any legal issue and collect data for an inquiry or application to a law firm, lawyer or solicitors service so they can ask unique question to do with the case.

You can have as many forms and pages as well as categories as the database supports. Each page can have a customised form associated with it where you can retrieve related information to do with the presentation of the case or issue you are seeking clients on for legal representation.

There are other application for this module which can be easily cloned or change to suit other forms of paginated liaise within your xoops site.

This is the beta release so please test and report any errors you are having.

Development Retirement

X-SOAP Development is being retired this is the last version of this software. Like most development of open source, sometime purposeful error, like the instanciation of the php-soap so it was instant plug and play. This has been fixed and is running.

X-SOAP is plug and play plugin system for a SOAP Service Server running on XOOPS 2.x.x. Development will be retired until any structural changes required for XOOPS 3.0.
